Jeff Squyres 717b04f198 Strengthen and simplify the visibility test. Adding an "fprintf"

makes the test a bit more difficult, per discussions with Paul
Hargrove when going through the release process for hwloc 1.3.2.

This "improved" test is already on OMPI v1.4 -- not sure why it's not
on the trunk or OMPI v1.5 branch.  It looks like the extra fprintf got
lost in the translation from AC_TRY_LINK to AC_LINK_IFELSE.

Update libevent to the 2.0 series, currently at 2.0.7rc. We will update to their final release when it becomes available. Currently known errors exist in unused portions of the libevent code. This revision passes the IBM test suite on a Linux machine and on a standalone Mac.
