Jeff Squyres 60127b1caa distscript: hugely simplify
Based on initial suggestions from Paul Hargrove
(http://www.open-mpi.org/community/lists/devel/2015/04/17354.php),
simplify the distscript.sh; it really only has to do one thing:
substitute the repo_rev in VERSION.
